Dylan Jacob Balbosa was born to Jacob and Sarah Balbosa on April 25, 2343 on the Destiny Colony located in the Xi Entrates System. His father was the Colony Administrator and his mother stayed at home.
Dylan had a reputation as being intelligent and resourceful. He graduated the Destiny College High School at the age of 18 in 2361. He was the valedictorian of his class of 112 students and had gotten scholarships in academics, music, and athletics tot he University of Batezed where he majored in Emergency Medicine and graduated with his bachelors of Science degree in 2365. He was sixty-third in his class of 765. Immediately following his graduation from the university, Dylan enrolled in the Starfleet Academy EMT Training Program which he completed in one year and began the life of a Starfleet EMT aboard the USS Hawkings, an Olympic Class Starship. At this point in his life he was twenty-four and he had decided that he needed to further his medical training. So, in the year 2367, he enrolled at Harvard Medical School where he obtained his PhD in Medicine eight years later in 2375.
Being that Dylan was now a doctor, he decided to go to Starfleet Academy and become a full officer. He graduated two years later at the age 35 and was assigned to the USS Nevada as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer with the rank of Ensign. Dylan held this position for two years and was reassigned to the USS Mesopotamia in 2379 at the age of 39 with the assignment of Chief Medical Officer and the rank of Lieutenant JG. The Mesopotamia was a Norway Class Starship and it soon needed a Second Officer, so Dylan was chosen for that position one year after he positing on her at the age of 40. Dylan Stayed in this post for a year until being given the choice of moving to the USS Gobi (Intrepid Class) as the Chief Medical and Second Officer or to the USS John Kelly (Saber Class) as the Executive Officer. Dylan chose the John Kelly and is currently assigned there as the XO.
